Description
In pasture, on S-facing slope, just above steep incline down to N bank of Killilagh River. Oval area (39.2m N-S; 49.5m E-W) defined by scarped edge (H 0.7m; Wth 5m) NNW->WSW, and enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.5m; ext. H 1.5m) WSW->NNW, with external fosse (D 1m; Wth 1.6m) WSW->ESE. There is a counterscarp bank (H 0.55m), incorporated into surrounding field boundary system, WSW->NNW. Fosse is masked by dense overgrowth of bushes and briars and clogged with fallen trees. Probable entrance (Wth 6.3m) at N where scarped edge becomes barely perceptible and there is causeway across fosse. A pump house and an electricity pole stand atop scarp at NNE. Interior, under pasture, and slopes down to S. Compiled by: Denis Power Date of upload: 26 August 2011

H 2.2m) with external fosse (D 0.7m; Wth 3.3m). Field boundary skirts around outside edge of fosse SSW->NW. Opening at E where wide gap in bank (Wth c. 9m) has been worn down by cattle accessing interior. Interior, under rough pasture, slopes down gently to E. Mature oak trees cover entire site. Fosse becomes very shallow ENE->WSW and is barely perceptible SE->SW. Field boundaries abut outer edge of fosse at WSW and SE. Gap in bank at ENE (Wth 1.85m) has been worn down by cattle accessing interior. Interior, under rough pasture, slopes down very gently to E. Mature deciduous trees grow along top of bank and along verge of interior. Compiled by: Denis Power Date of upload: 26 August 2011

Description
In area of scrub woodland between pasture field to S and stream to N. Roughly circular area (42m N-S) defined W->N by scarped edge (H 2.1m; Wth 3m) and enclosed by earthen bank N->W (int. H 0.6m; ext. H 1.35m), with external fosse (D 0.25m; Wth 1.6m) SE->SSW; enclosing element covered throughout by dense overgrowth of bushes. Bank overlain by field boundary SE->SSW. Description
In pasture, on an E-facing slope, just above a steep incline down to a stream. A D-shaped area (28.5m N-S; 38.2m E-W) defined on its straight SE side by the top edge of the steep incline, and enclosed SSW->ESE by two concentric earthen banks, 3.25m apart, with an external fosse SSW->NW (D 0.65; Wth 2.6m). The inner bank (int. H 1m; ext. H 1.25m) is best preserved SSW->WNW but has been much denuded by cattle NNE->ENE, as similarly is the outer bank (int. H 1.45m; ext. H 0.95m). The enclosing element is masked by dense vegetation overgrowth. Breaks in the banks at NW and ENE appear to be the result of cattle accessing the interior. The interior slopes down gently to the SE and is covered by mature deciduous trees. Compiled by: Denis Power Date of upload: 26 August 2011
