  Description

  Three large almost square shaped enclosures plus one circular one appear on aerial photo (CUCAP AVT 84) in 1968 but are not to be seen on 1973 aerial photos (GSI N 449/8, N 506/5).   Description

  The site (L 5.23m min.; Wth 2.67m; D 0.08m) is orientated NW-SE and consists of two transverse roundwoods, a single piece of brushwood and two pegs set between 60-90°. A plank was noted during the fieldwalking phase but had been destroyed by the time of record. Woodworking is evidenced by metal-cut toolmarks and by split pegs.   Description

  A single piece of worked brushwood (L 0.21m min.; diam. 0.035m) on the field surface in moderately humified Sphagnum peat with occasional Eriophorum. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 2003. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
