  Description

  A model in yew wood of a Hallstatt-type sword and part of a wooden mug were discovered at this location in 1958 (NMI 1958:94). A grave-like structure formed of stone slabs was subsequently discovered in an adjoining field when a ditch was being dug (NMI). It contained no bones, and no apparent trace remains of it. The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 1463.
