This site is marked on the 1841-42 OS map as 'Kyle burial ground'. Although the site is marked on the 1914 map it does not have a map designation. It consists of a circular area enclosed by a well-defined earthen bank. The inner area measures 33m NW-SE and 35m NE-SW; the external diameter measures 45.6m NW-SE and 49m NE-SW. The exterior height of the bank above the surrounding land measures 2m-3.2m. The bank measures 4m-7.4m wide at the base. The maximum internal height of the bank above the interior measures c 3m. Description
Internal diameter 33m N-S, 32m E-W This site is situated on a rise, affording excellent views in all directions. This univallate rath consists of a raised circular area which averaged .8m high. An exterior fosse is to be noted NE and SE through S to SW. It appears as a shallow, though well-defined depression measuring 2m in width and .3m below the surrounding land. Description
Internal diameter 24m E-W Very little remains of this possible univallate rath. All that survives is a semi-circular raised area from the SW through S to E which is c 1m high.
