Description
At the summit of a hill within a coniferous forest. Listed as 'Enclosure' in the SMR (1992) and the RMP (1996). A subcircular scrub-covered area (diam. c. 30-35m) defined by a bank (Wth 4.2m; int. Description
On a slight rise in a low-lying position with higher ground all around. Marked only on the 1921 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 61.2m N-S; 59.5m E-W) defined by a scarp (H 0.6-0.8m) at the base of the rise (H c. 1.5m) and a fosse or silted drain (Wth 1-2.5m; D 0.1-0.4m), which widens into a pond (dims. c. 10m) at E.
