Description
Situated on a SW-facing slope. Subcircular grass-covered area (dims. 36.5m E-W; 34m N-S) defined by an earthen bank with stone-facing (Wth 4m; int. H 1m; ext. H 1.2m), which is incorporated into a field bank N-E and reduced to a scarp (H 1.7m) elsewhere (downslope). There is no visible fosse or entrance. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). Description
Detached single-bay single-storey rubble stone outbuilding with half-attic, dated 1876, on a corner site with segmental-headed carriageway, and seven-bay single-storey wing to south-west. Now disused. Pitched slate roofs over timber construction with clay ridge tiles, lime mortice, and no rainwater goods on squared rubble stone eaves. Random rubble stone walls with lime mortar, and remains of unpainted lime render over. Square-headed window openings with no sills, lintels, and remains of timber fittings. Square-headed door openings (including to first floor side (north-east) elevation) with lintels, and timber boarded doors. Segmental-headed carriageway with squared rubble stone voussoirs, date stone/keystone, and painted replacement corrugated-iron door, c.1975. Road fronted on a corner site with grass verge to front.

Description
Detached nine-bay two-storey building, c.1840, possibly originally Bianconi Posting Station or Royal Irish Constabulary barracks and originally accommodating three separate three-bay two-storey units with two-bay two-storey side elevations. Now disused and partly derelict. Hipped slate roof with clay ridge tiles, red brick Running bond chimney stack, and cast-iron rainwater goods on rendered eaves having replacement uPVC downpipe, c.1990. Unpainted rendered, ruled and lined walls with rendered quoins to ends. Square-headed window openings with stone sills, and remains of 1/1 timber sash windows having timber boarded panels over. Square-headed door openings now boarded-up. Interior stripped with dividing walls, floors, and internal joinery removed, and plaster to coved ceiling mostly disintegrated (exposing construction underneath). Set back from road in shared grounds cut into sloping site.
