Description
Earthwork described in 1943 as following; 'This consists of a circular earthen platform surrounded by a fosse. This latter is continuous and the entrance is not recognisable. The maximum height of the platform over its fosse-bottom is 5' [1.5m], and the overall diameter is 165' [50m]. The monument is situated in good low land.' (O'Kelly 1942-3, 172). Description
Earthwork described in 1943 as following; 'The monument consists of a circular platform of earth surrounded by a continuous and waterlogged fosse. Outside this there was an outer bank most of which is now gone except for a short distance on the south-east side. The entrance is not recognisable. The maximum height of the platform over the fosse-bottom is 4' [1.2m], and the overall diameter is 135' [41m]. It is situated in fairly good lowland' (O'Kelly 1942-3, 172). Description
In improved and drained pasture, 45m E of a land drain and 200m N of a townland boundary with Ballyloundash. Enclosure (LI032-203----) lies 285m to SSW. Not depicted on OSi historic maps. Monument identified by the Bruff aerial photographic survey in 1986 (Bruff 157: AP 4/3635), as a small circular-shaped earthwork. Monument is visible as a faint circular-shaped cropmark (diam. 14.5m) on OSi orthoimage taken 2005-2012, on Digital Globe orthoimage taken 2011-2013 and on Google Earth orthoimage taken 20/09/2020.
