Description
In pasture, on N-facing slope of low E-W ridge. Circular area (27m E-W; 27m N-S) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.65m; ext. H 0.9m), with external fosse (Wth 1m; D 0.3m) E->SW, and external earthen bank (int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.55m) S->SW. Enclosing element is truncated at W by a N-S field boundary. Description
In pasture; on E-W ridge, at foot of S-facing slope. Circular area (diam. c. 20m) enclosed by collapsed dry-stone wall (int. H c. 0.8m; ext. H c. 1m; Wth top c. 0.8m). Wall facing survives with coursing visible in many areas. No entrance feature apparent. Interior inaccessible due to dense overgrowth of trees and bushes. Description
In low-lying marshy area of coniferous wood. Oval area (c. 30m N-S; c. 36m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.6m; ext. H 0.8m) with external fosse (Wth 2m; D c. 0.5m). Gap in bank (Wth c. 0.9m) at NW. Enclosure covered by dense growth of rough grasses and heather. Deep drainage dykes, which criss-cross the wood, clip enclosing fosse at a number of points.
