Description
On poorly drained partially reclaimed pasture on the floodplain of the Camoge River 115m to W. which marks the townland boundary with Kilcullane. Possible barrow (LI032-209----) and ring-ditch (LI032-211----) lie 170m to NE and SW, respectively. Not depicted on OSi historic maps. Monument identified by the Bruff aerial photographic survey in 1986 (Bruff 178: AP 4/3607), as a small circular-shaped earthwork. Monument is visible as a roughly circular-shaped earthwork (11m N-S; 10m E-W) on OSi orthoimage taken 2005-2012 and on Digital Globe orthoimage taken 2011-2013. Monument is visible as a clear circular-shaped earthwork (diam. 11m) on Google Earth orthoimage taken 05/04/2006. Description
In low-lying, wet pasture, which is cut by land drains and watercourses, on the floodplain of the Camoge River, which is 75m to W and also marks a townland boundary with Kilcullane. Enclosure (LI032-081----) lies 60m to SW and ring-barrow (LI032-207----) lies 165m to NE. Not depicted on OSi historic maps. Monument identified by the Bruff aerial photographic survey in 1986 (Bruff 280: AP 4/3607), as a small circular-shaped cropmark. Monument is visible as a small circular-shaped earthwork (diam. 10m) defined by a fosse, which is best seen on OSi orthoimage taken 2005-2012 and is visible as a faint roughly circular-shaped cropmark on Digital Globe orthoimage taken 2011-2013 and on Google Earth orthoimage taken 25/05/2017. Description
Detached three-bay two-storey house, built c. 1850, with single-bay single-storey lean-to to rear (west) elevation. Hipped slate roof with rendered chimneystacks and cast-iron rainwater goods. Roughcast rendered walls having render plinth course. Square-headed openings with two-over-two pane timber sliding sash windows and limestone sills. Round-headed opening having glazed tripartite overlight over timber panelled door with flanking carved timber panels. Three-bay single-storey outbuilding to west. Pitched slate roof with roof lights and rendered chimneystack. Roughcast rendered walls. Pointed arch openings having fixed timber windows and painted stone sills. Pointed arch opening with half-glazed timber door. Five-bay single-storey outbuilding to north-west having pitched slate roof. Rubble limestone walls. Square-headed openings with replacement doors. Pair of dressed limestone square-profile piers to east having carved caps, double-leaf cast-iron gates, sweeping limestone walls terminating in second pair of square-profile limestone piers.
