  Description

  In pasture, on level terrain. Monument, depicted as embanked circular enclosure on 1923 OS 6-inch map, has been levelled. However, it is still evident as roughly circular area (29.5m N-S; 27.5m E-W) defined by scarped edge (H 0.25m; Wth 3.5m) which is best preserved W->NNE.   Description

  In pasture, on relatively flat low-lying terrain. Rectangular area (39m N-S; 33.5m E-W) enclosed by earth and stone bank (int. H 0.33m; ext. H 0.90m) with external fosse (Base Wth 1.1m; D 0.2m) SE->N. Cattle break (Wth 3m) in bank at SSE; bank denuded by cattle and is best preserved at NW. Field boundary runs SE-NW across site to NE of centre; NE corner of site to NE of field boundary levelled. Interior level and under pasture.   Description

  In pasture, on gentle S-facing slope, immediately S of public road. Oval area (30m N-S; 25m E-W) enclosed by two roughly concentric earthen banks with intervening and external fosse. Inner bank (int. H 0.4m; ext. H 1.5m), best preserved SE->WSW, becomes scarp-like W->N. Outer bank (int. H 1.1m; ext. H 0.6m), wide and flat-topped (Wth 3m), is clipped by public road NNW->NNE. Waterlogged intervening fosse (Wth 2.2m; D 0.5m), infilled with earth and stones at SE, widens at W (Wth 4m). Outer fosse (Wth 1.4m; D 0.3m) is not evident NNW->NNE. Gap in outer bank (Wth 4m) at W. Space between banks widens (Wth 14.5m) along NE arc. Level interior under pasture. A mature oak tree stands atop inner bank at S. Compiled by: Denis Power Date of upload: 26 August 2011

  Description

  In pasture, at N edge of break in N-facing hill slope. Circular area (40m N-S; 39.5m E-W) enclosed by two concentric earth-and-stone banks with intervening fosse (Wth 3.5m). Inner bank (int. H 0.8m; ext. H 2.6m), heavily masked by overgrowth along W side, best preserved SE->NW. Outer bank (ext. H 1.4m), eroded NW->N where internal height becomes very low, has external stone facing at NNE. Fosse, marshy along SE arc, is best preserved along W side.   Description

  In pasture, on break in N-facing hill slope; immediately S of farmyard. Circular area (38.5m N-S; 39m E-W) defined by scarped edge (H 3.1m; Wth 6m) with external fosse (Wth 3m; D 0.1m), and counterscarp earth-and-stone bank (int. H 0.85m; ext. H 0.75m) NE->NW. Scarp, best preserved to NE, masked by vegetation overgrowth NE->SE. Counterscarp bank incorporated into field boundary system SE->SSW. Recently built hay shed at base of scarp to NNW. Recently constructed causeway (Wth 3m) across fosse at WSW allows farm machinery access to interior. Break in bank (Wth 4m) at SE.
