Description
In pasture, on gentle NE-facing slope. Sub-circular area (22m N-S; 20m E-W) enclosed by earth-and-stone bank with an external fosse. Bank (int. H 0.6m; ext. H 1.05m) is eroded by cattle especially WSW->NNW, N->NE and at ESE. Large boulders have been dumped on top of bank especially along S arc. Fosse (Wth 1.5m; D 0.4m) evident all round though very shallow E->SE. Level interior is littered with lose stones; thorn bushes grow around perimeter which is otherwise under pasture. Description
In undulating pasture, on gentle E-facing slope. Oval area (32m N-S; 28m E-W) enclosed by earth-and-stone bank with external fosse. Bank (int. H 0.55m; ext. H 1.3m) is best preserved S->N, but heavily eroded elsewhere (int. H 0.3m). Fosse (Wth 1.6m; D 0.45m) is littered with loose stones, particularly at SW. Large stones have been dumped along top of bank S->NW and in SE quadrant of interior. Interior is generally clear of overgrowth and slopes very gently down to E. In pasture, on gentle E-facing slope. Circular area (25m N-S; 25m E-W) defined by scarped edge (H 0.15m; Wth 3m) which reaches its max. height S->WSW (H 0.35m; Wth 3m). Description
In rough grazing, on gentle S-facing slope and immediately E of stream. Circular area (18.5m N-S; 19.5m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank, with external fosse (D 0.25m; Wth 1.5m) NE->SE. Bank (int. H 0.55m; ext. H 1.05m) is best preserved WNW->SE, but very eroded at S. Gap (Wth 2.1m) in bank at NE. Interior flat, poached by cattle and strewn with stones and timber. Stream skirts SW arc of enclosure, c. 3m outside bank. Dry-stone field boundary skirts outer edge of fosse at N. Ringfort (LI028-057---) 50m to SSE. Description
In low-lying marshy ground, 12m E of stream, and surrounded by higher ground. Oval area (26m N-S; 30m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank WSW->S and defined by scarped edge (H 0.3m; Wth 1.75m) S->WSW, with external bank entirely surrounding bank and scarp and separated from them by waterlogged fosse (Wth 3.75m). Inner bank is best preserved WSW->NE (int. H 0.65m; ext. H 1.05m). Dip in bank (Wth 4.5m) at ENE. Outer bank (int. H 0.4m; ext. H 0.25m) is best preserved NW->ESE and also dips slightly at ENE. Interior is flat and marshy with stands of irises. Ringfort (LI028-056---) 50m to NNW. Description
On gentle rise, in undulating pasture. Monument, depicted as embanked circular enclosure (diam. c. 30m) on 1923 OS 6-inch map, has been levelled. However, it is now evident as circular area (diam. 36m) defined by scarped edge (H 0.45m; Wth 2.7m), with external fosse (Wth 1.6m; D 0.1m) E->NW. In pasture, on gentle N-facing slope. Circular area (25.5m N-S; 26m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.5m). Bank dips to negligible height at SE (Wth 6.5m).
