In undulating grassland. Poorly preserved subcircular cashel (WSW-ENE 54.6m) defined by a grassed-over drystone wall; inner and outer wall-facing is visible at SE and S. A gap (Wth 4m) at SE could be original. Abutting the wall at SE is a rectangular structure (E-W; L 3m, Wth 1m), possibly a later animal pen. A series of field banks lie to NW. On low-lying level ground. Marked on 3rd ed. of OS 6-inch map (1933) as a subcircular enclosure (NW-SE c. 40m) cut along W side and from NE to SW by two modern field walls. The latter wall is still present, and a curving scarp line to NW of it indicates the outline of the monument. No visible surface trace of the enclosing element survives to SE it. Description
Detached four-bay single-storey vernacular house, built c.1800, with attic, and having single-storey flat-roofed extension to rear. Pitched thatched roof with flush ridge, stone copings to gables, and rendered chimneystack. Limewashed random rubble walls. Square-headed openings with two-over-two pane timber sliding sash windows, with painted stone sills. Square-headed glazed timber entrance door. Set back from road with lime-rendered boundary wall with flat stone coping, rendered gate piers and metal gates. Garden to front, farmyard with single-storey outbuildings to rear.
