  On W-facing slope of a low hill. Marked on 1st ed. of OS 6-inch map as a circular enclosure (D c. 40m) but on 3rd ed. (1932) only NW sector appears. According to local information, the monument was levelled in the mid-1960s during land reclamation, along with an enclosure (GA058-053----).   On W-facing slope of a rise in undulating grassland. Poorly preserved oval rath (N-S 60.5m, E-W 52.6m) defined by a bank. A field wall cuts the monument at NNE and W and no visible surface trace of the enclosing element survives to NW of it.   Description

  Single-arch railway bridge, built c.1850, over now disused Athenry-Claremorris railway line. Walls of squared and snecked rubble, with hammer-finished cut-stone voussoirs to arch rings with draughted margin to outer elevations, and parapets having flat stone copings with chamfered outer edges. Random rubble walls to adjacent fields.

• Crumlin Park, country house, 1820–1900 · Regional interest
  Description

  Detached irregular-plan house, built c.1830 and altered c.1890, comprising gable-fronted two-storey blocks presenting single-bay front elevations, linked by two-storey cross presenting three bays to front and having projecting three-stage entrance tower to north end. Full-height canted bay to south gabled bay and single-storey canted bay window to south-west side elevation. Single-storey twentieth-century extension to north with pitched roof, and single-storey twentieth-century flat roof extension to south. Pitched slate roofs, with yellow brick chimneystacks, timber rafters and decorative dentils to eaves to gables, and replacement uPVC rainwater goods. Sprocketed fish-scale and toothed slate roof to tower with leaded cap and finial. Ruled and lined rendered walls with painted projecting plinth course, and having moulded render string course between floors and between stages of tower. Rusticated walling to ground floor of tower. Square-headed window openings with one-over-one pane timber sliding sash windows, and stone sills. Tripartite window to ground-floor of south-west gable with brackets to sill. Round-headed entrance opening to west side of tower, with label-moulding. Round-headed window to front elevation of ground floor of tower, having hood-moulding and linking to moulded string course. Trio of round-headed lights to top stage, with stone sills having brackets. Round-headed niche to north side of south gabled projection. Moulded archivolt with carved human mask keystone, and replacement double-leaf timber panelled door and fanlight. Set back from road in estate grounds with mature gardens.

  Single-arch railway bridge over road, built c.1860. Coursed squared and snecked rubble limestone with squared and snecked rubble limestone piers and flanking walls with rounded copings to parapets. Segmental-headed arch with cut-stone voussoirs to arch rings. Squared and snecked limestone to spandrels with chamfered coping stones. Single carriageway.

• Crumlin Park House, gate lodge, 1840–1850 · Regional interest
  Description

  Decorative gateway, erected c.1845, at entrance to Crumlin Park House. Comprising central pair of open cast-iron piers with palmette decoration, bow tops and cast-iron double gates. East pier missing lower portion of decoration. Cast-iron flanking pedestrian gates with quatrefoil panels and spike finials and openwork cast-iron outer piers, solid panel to east outer pier. Detached two-bay single-storey cruciform-plan gate lodge, built c.1850, now derelict, at north side of gateway, having entrance porch to east elevation, pitched slate roof with diamond and round imbricated courses supported on square-ended stone corbels, overhanging eaves with timber soffit, decorative exposed rafter ends and decorative timber bargeboards to west and north gables, and having remains of cast-iron rainwater goods. Ashlar limestone walls, dressed quarry-faced quoins, and square-headed openings with limestone lintels and tooled limestone sills. Set on curve of road behind low rendered boundary wall with garden to rear.
