  Description

  In level grassland. Poorly preserved much-overgrown oval cashel (N-S 55m, E-W 40m) defined by a collapsed grassed-over drystone wall. A field wall cuts the monument at E and W. There is a funnel-shaped pile of collapsed stone (L 11m, Wth 10m), with a central depression, in S half of the interior.   Within a ringfort (GA043-088----). An unenclosed irregular area within which are at least fifteen randomly placed elongated mounds of loose stone (L c. 2m, Wth c.1m, H < 0.7m); some are aligned NNE-SSW, others WNW-ESE.   Description

  In undulating grassland, Knockmaa Hill is visible to N. An almost circular rath (N-S 40m, E-W 39m), in fair condition, defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. Gap (Wth c. 3.3m) at SE could be original. A probable souterrain (GA043-089002-) lies within the interior, and the CBG (GA043-089001-) is associated.
