It is 54 km in length and travels from Kinnegad 110 kV substation in Killaskillen (County Meath) and traverses southeast where a short loop into Dunfirth 110 kV substation in Dunfirth (County Kildare) exists. The line then continues southeast where it terminates at Rinawade 110kV substation in Rinawade Lower (County Kildare). The OHL has a total of 249no. supporting structures. Within the functional area of Offaly County Council there is 0.42 km of the existing OHL circuit, with 2 no. structures. Within the functional area of Kildare County Council there is 30.66 km, with 140 no. structures, and within the functional area of Meath County Council, there is 23.16 km with 107 no. structures. Separate planning applications will be lodged with Kildare County Council and Meath County Council. The proposed development within Co. Description
Small, ivy-clad two storey tower house (10.5m E-W, 8m N-S, Wall T.1.6m) built with roughly coursed limestone blocks. Base batter partly robbed,first floor carried on wooden beams, windows of first floor level have rounded splays with small slit opes and window seats. Wall-walk level and evidence of angle tower possibly a garderobe tower at NW angle. Doorway with rounded segmental arch in E end of N wall. Low circular earthwork enclosing tower house to N and W may be remains of a levelled bawn wall (OF004-010001-). In undulating grassland beside the Edenderry and Castlejordan road. Poorly preserved small rectangular ivy clad tower (ext. dims. 8m N-S; 10.5m E-W; wall T 1.6m) two storeys high with base batter now partly robbed. Traces of battlements just visible through the ivy on the W wall and to a lesser extent on the E wall. Possible bawn wall attached to NW angle and extending northwards at foundation level only. No barrel vault present, first floor carried on thickness of wall with wooden beams. At centre of W wall is a roughly rectangular shaped opening. Doorway with mounted segmental arch in E end of N wall with bolt hole in centre of W jamb. Windows at first floor have rounded splays with small slit opes and window seats. At SW angle are the remains of an angle tower of which only the foundations and tie stones survive. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Offaly' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). Cast-iron post box, c.1920. Located at busy junction on Castlejordon to Clonmore road opposite former shop. Mounted in concrete stand with lettering 'Post Office' above letter aperture and maker's name 'W.T. Allen and Co. London'.

Description
Detached three-bay two-storey house, built c.1800, with entrance porch, c.1960, and return to rear. Hipped slate roof with cast-iron rainwater goods and rendered chimneystacks. Pebbledashed walls. Square-headed window openings with timber sash windows and limestone sills. Round-headed door opening within porch with tooled limestone surround and a replacement timber and glazed door. Single- and two-storey rendered outbuildings to rear yard. Wrought-iron gates with cast-iron piers to front site. Wrought-iron double gates supported by rendered piers to roadside.
