- GA113-079 Ringfort - rath
Description
In level pastureland. Circular rath (diam. 38.5m), in fair condition, defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. The inner bank is clearly visible but is much denuded at E where it is overlain by a field wall. Traces of internal stone-facing are evident. The fosse survives all round. No visible surface trace of the outer bank survives from N through E to SE; elsewhere it is overlain by field walls. A possible children’s burial ground (GA113-079001-) is associated. (McCaffrey 1952, 275, no. 18) Compiled by: Galway Archaeological Survey, UCG Date of upload: 17 January 2018
- GA113-079001 Children's burial ground
Description
The rath (GA113-079----) is named 'Lisheeneenaun' on the OS 6-inch maps. The 'Lisheen' element of the name suggests that a children's burial ground may be associated with it. However, no visible surface trace of such was noted on the site inspection. Compiled by: Galway Archaeological Survey, UCG Date of upload: 17 January 2018
- GA113-146 Ringfort - rath

Another field wall overlies the inner bank at NW. Traces of an inner revetment are visible on the inner bank. (McCaffrey 1952, 275-6, no. 19) Compiled by: Galway Archaeological Survey, UCG Date of upload: 17 January 2018
