The proposed development will consist of the construction of a Photovoltaic Solar development to the North of the Citywest hotel on lands formally in use as a golf course [comprising a change of use from former golf course to solar development]. The proposed development will include the installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) panels on ground mounted frames/support structures, underground cabling and ducting, security fencing, CCTV cameras, temporary construction compound and an area of hardstanding for an electrical compound. The electrical compound will consist of two modified shipping containers, containing 3 inverters and LV Switch gear. This compound will also accommodate the Battery Energy Storage system, PV inverter and a transformer. The proposed development includes the above as well as drainage, landscaping, bio-diversity enhancement measures and all other associated site excavation, infrastructural and site development works above and below ground. While the proposed development relates to a total site area of 6.7ha, c.3.5ha of this constitutes the actual land take post development. The operational lifespan of the solar PV development will be 30 years. A Natura Impact statement (NIS) accompanies the planning application.

Description
Located in low-lying pastureland, W of a stream that forms part of the townland boundary around Saggart village. An aerial photograph (FSI 285/6) taken in 1971 shows small conjoined irregular fields defined by low earthworks running on a different axis to the fields in which they appear. This area has since been landscaped for the creation of a golf course. There are no visible remains at ground level. Compiled by Geraldine Stout

Description
Located in a field of stubble near the Camac river which is prone to flooding. Pre-development testing in 2009 identified the truncated remains of a burnt mound. Comprises an oval-shaped pit (L 0.9m, Wth 0.7m which was filled with a charcoal-rich deposit that contains burnt stone (F5) . It corresponds to a pit feature which appeared on geophysical results (09E0420).

Description
Located in a field of stubble near the Camac river which is prone to flooding. Pre-development testing in 2009 revealed a burnt spread of charcoal and burnt stone (L 4m x D 0.06m(F10). It was truncated by a roughly E-W gully. This had been identified in geophysical results.

Description
Located in a poorly drained field of stubble near the river Camac that is prone to flooding. Pre-development testing under licence No 09E0420 by Colm Moriarty in 2009 revealed a possible trough (F 12) in Field 2. It was identified as an oval-shaped pit (L 1.4m, D 0.5m) which was filled with charcoal rich deposits that contained burnt stone. The fill is reminiscent of burnt mound material and may indicated that this feature represents a cooking trough (Moriarty and Gowen 2009, 13). Description

Pre-development testing under licence No 09E0420 by Colm Moriarty in 2009 revealed an oval-shaped pit (F8, Diam. 0.6m) in Trench 6. It was filled with charcoal rich deposit that contained frequent inclusions of burnt stone. This fill is reminiscent of burnt mound material and may indicate that this feature represents a cooking trough. The pit was severely truncated along its W side by a N-S gully/furrow (Moriarty and Gowen 2009, 11). Description
First recorded as a positive cropmark in July 1991. Located just south of Casement Airfield, Baldonnel. Aerial photograph (GB91. DV.11) shows cropmark of a ring-ditch (Gillian Barrett).
