- GA029-159 Ringfort - rath
Description
On the summit of a hillock in gently rolling grassland. Subcircular rath (N-S 31m), in fair condition, defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. The inner bank in present from W to NNW; elsewhere a scarp forms the enclosing element. The fosse and outer bank are extant from SE through S to NNW. The interior has been quarried out at N. Description
Circa 100m SSW of a ringfort (GA029-159----). Very poorly preserved circular enclosure (D 32.5m) defined by an earthen bank at N, and from SE to S. A scarp defined the monument from S to SW.
