Description
Situated on a slight rise of ground on flat pasture with a nearby ringfort (TN029-071) to the SE. A raised circular area (diam. 36m E-W) enclosed by an earth and stone bank (Wth 3m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 1.5m) with no evidence of an outer fosse or entrance feature. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002). Description
Situated atop a low natural rise of ground on poorly drained land in an upland area with nearby ringforts (TN029-070, TN029-072) to the NW and S respectively. A poorly preserved site conisting of a circular area (diam. 36m N-S) defined by scarp (H 0.7m) intersected at NE by a modern field fence on a NE-SW axis. No visible trace of an entrance feature.
