Description
Situated on the low-lying flat floodplains of the River Suir which flows immediately to the N. The site was destroyed in the late 1960s (Stout 1984, 122). Depicted on the latest ed. OS 6-inch map as a diamond-shaped enclosure with single bank and outer fosse (Barry 1977, 194). The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002).
