  Description

  In undulating grassland. Circular cashel (diam. 33.5m), in fair condition, defined by a grassed-over wall. Slight traces of a possible external fosse are visible at NW.   Description

  On a rise in undulating pastureland. This poorly preserved circular rath (diam. c. 40m) is defined by a low bank (Wth at top 0.9m; overall Wth 5.2m; int. H 0.1m; ext. • GA105-182 Moated site
  Description

  In low-lying marshy land, c. 250m to the W of Raruddy Castle (105-178----). This rectangular moated site (40m N-S; 34m E-W), in fair condition, is defined by a low inner earthen bank (base Wth 3.3m; int. H 0.26m; ext. H 0.28m) an intervening fosse (Wth 3.7m) and an external bank (base Wth 3m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.3m); the latter is only apparent along the E side. Its NW corner is clipped by a N-S running roadway. The interior is raised above the surrounding land and in the NW sector there is a rectangular stone structure (GA105-182001-).   Description

  Within the NW sector of the interior of the moated site (GA105-182----) there is a rectangular stone structure (4.9m N-S; 3.8m E-W) with an entrance gap (Wth 2.7m) at S.   Description

  In pastureland. This rectangular enclosure (c. 57m NNE-SSW; c. 47m ENE-WSW) was brought to the attention of the Survey by Jean-Charles Caillère who identified it on Google Earth satellite imagery dated March 2011. Possibly a moated site. Another moated site (GA105-182----) lies in the same field, c. 25m to the W and a tower house (GA105-178----) lies c. 170m to the ENE. There is also a cashel (GA105-180----) c. 128m to the NNW.
