Description
In improved level pasture to N, though poorly drained to the S. Identified as a sub-circular enclosure on an aerial photograph (R.439/8, 16/04/1974) and also partially visible on an ASI aerial photograph (ASIAP (117)13, [n.d.]). A sub-circular area (overall dims. 37m N-S; 34m E-W) defined by the remains of a low bank (Wth 3.8m; int. H 0.15m; ext. H 0.25m) from N-NE, largely reduced to scarp (Wth 1.2-1.6m; H 0.1-0.2) and an external fosse (Wth 3.4-4.4m; D 0.07-0.15m) visible from W-NE. The scarp is quite faint from SE-SSW and a slightly more pronounced from W-N. The interior is grass covered and uneven. The monument is truncated by a field boundary running N-S across the E sector and by a townland boundary (Wth 3m) running E-W across the S sector. - TS059-092 Ringfort - rath
Description
In low-lying pasture. An oval area (dims. 36m NW-SE; 32m NE-SW) defined by scarp (Wth 3m; H 0.9m) WNW-N-SSW, fosse (Wth 7.85m; D 0.5m), bank (Wth 4.45m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 0.5m), outer fosse (Wth 6.6m; D 0.55m) and outer bank (Wth 6.35m; int. H 0.55m; ext. H 0.55m). The scarp could not be seen SSW-WNW due to dense overgrowth. The middle bank is visible NW-SSW but elsewhere is obscured by dense overgrowth. The outer bank is obscured by earthen material dumped around exterior NW-NE and is breached at E where a drain (long-axis E-W) extends through it from the outer fosse to the exterior. There is a causewayed entrance at the S (Wth 5m) and NE (Wth 2.5m). The interior is grass covered and slightly uneven. There is a rectangular depression (dims. 2.2m NE-SW; 1.5m NW-SE; D 0.25m) within the centre. There is a field boundary (long axis NW-SE) to the SW and another (long axis NE-SW) to the SE. A ringfort (TS059-094----) is located c. 150m to the SW. This is a National Monument (no. 550). Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 26 August 2011

Description
In improved pasture, with good views in all directions. Circular area (dims. 20m E-W; 19m N-S) defined by remains of levelled bank (Wth 13.2m; int. H 0.15m; ext. H 0.35m) NNE-SE and scarp (Wth 5.15m; H 0.65m) SE-NNE. Scarp (Wth 3m; H 0.5m) is best defined ENE-SE. Outer fosse (Wth 8.05m; D 0.07m) is visible from NNE-E and SSE-SSW. The interior is generally level. There is a farm trackway (long axis N-S) 3m to the E. The surrounding field boundaries have been removed. There is a ringfort (TS059-092----) c. 150m to the NE. Description
Detached four-bay single-storey vernacular house, built c. 1800, having flat-roofed windbreak and with lean-to sheds to rear and to south-east gable. Pitched corrugated-iron roof with concrete copings, low brick end and centre chimneystacks and replacement uPVC rainwater goods. Painted rendered walls. Square-headed window openings with painted stone sills and timber sliding sash four-over-two, one-over-one and two-over-one pane windows. Diminutive window to rear wall with timber casement window. Square-headed door opening with timber battened door and rendered threshold.
