Description
In gently undulating, poorly drained pasture. A circular area (diam. 22m) defined by scarp (Wth 1.1-2.3m; H 0.65-0.7m) and an external fosse (Wth 3.8-6.45m; D 0.1-0.3m) which is best defined from SSE-NW. There is a possible causewayed entrance (Wth 6m) at the NNW. The interior is generally level with frequent rushes. There is a possible ditch barrow (TS059-002001-) within the SE quadrant. Description
In gently undulating, poorly drained pasture. Within the SE quadrant of a barrow (TS059-002----). A circular area (dims. 5.25m N-S; 5m E-W) defined by scarp (Wth 0.85-3m; H 0.1-0.3m) which is best defined W-N-NE. The scarp is obscured by dense rushes in the S sector. Description
In improved, level pasture. Identified on an aerial photograph (GSI R428/9, 16/04/1974). A sub-oval area (dims. 21m N-S; 18m E-W) defined by low scarp (Wth 1.35m; H 0.25m) and an external fosse (Wth 4.5m; D 0.15m). The scarp is most pronounced in the W sector, which has been truncated by a field boundary running N-S. The fosse is visible from ESE-WSW, with the possible remains of waterlogged fosse in the W quadrant, E of the field boundary. There is a causewayed entrance (Wth 6m) at the ESE.
