Description
Excavated by O Ríordáin (1937, 57) who states that the mound (L c. 17m) was close to a well. Excavation revealed a horseshoe-shaped hearth (L c. 1.8m) outlined by a double setting of stones and having a paved floor. At open side of hearth was a pit (L c. 1.5m; Wth 1.2m; D 0.8m), self-filling with water. The only find was an ox bone. Second fulacht fiadh (CO099-00102-) c. 30m to S. Description
On SE side of Carrigaline. According to owner built in 1760s by James Morrison, Entrance front (N) of 4-bays, 3-storeys; central ground floor door set in recess with convex sides containing large window; recess framed by wooden portico with slim doric columns. Rounded corner of front elevation, framed by blocked quoins; windows in curve at same level as front windows but one light wider. Hipped roof with projecting eaves. Eelevation weatherslated. Bence Jones (1978, 216) suggest the house originally 'had a front consisting of a centre recessed between two projections with rounded corners. At a later date, the centre in the two upper storeys was filled in'. According to the owner the recess was filled in 1830s when 2nd floor was added. Description
Archaeological test-trenching was carried out in 2006 in advance of the construction of 486 houses with ancillary services at a location c. 0.6km south of Carrigaline town. Two possible burnt features and a number of charcoal-rich deposits as well as a linear spread were revealed in trench 7. Four sherds of prehistoric pottery were recovered from the surface of the features. The burnt features were covered with polythene and were not investigated further at this stage. This monument reported to ASI by Alan Hawkes, UCC. He describes it as: 'on a gentle north-facing slope overlooking the Owenboy estuary. Circular spread of burnt material in recently ploughed field. Description
Detached double-pile four-bay two-storey house, built c.1780, with projecting canted end-bay added to northern end of front (east) elevation and glazed timber verandah supported by wrought-iron posts added to front. Currently disused. Pitched and hipped slate roofs with redbrick chimneystacks, ceramic ridge tiles, overhanging eaves, stone gable copings and cast-iron rainwater goods. Rendered walls having roughcast panels to canted bay. Square-headed window openings with stone sills throughout having one-over-one pane timber sliding sash windows and replacement timber casement windows. Square-headed door opening having replacement glazed timber door. Outbuildings to sides and rear. Rendered enclosing walls with gate piers and replacement metal gates. Set within own grounds.

Description
Detached four-bay three-storey house, built c.1765, having bowed bays to corners of front (north) elevation, canted internal porch to front elevation behind Tetrastyle portico to front. Ruinous roofless lean-to extension to rear (south). Hipped slate roof with rendered chimneystacks, ceramic ridge tiles and cast-iron rainwater goods. Roughcast rendered walls. Slate hanging to side (east) elevation. Rendered quoins to bowed corners of front elevation. Diminishing square-headed window openings with stone sills throughout. Nine-over-six pane timber sliding sash windows to ground floor of front elevation, six-over-six pane to first floor and six-over-three pane to second floor. Twelve-over-eight pane timber sliding sash windows to ground floor of bowed corners, eight-over-eight pane to first floor and six-over-three pane to second floor. Three-over-three pane, six-over-three and six-over-six pane timber sliding sash windows to rear and side elevations. Round-headed stairwell window opening with stone sill to lower flight of rear elevation, having timber-framed fanlight, frame and replacement timber casement windows. Square-headed door opening to porch within timber doorcase comprising engaged Doric columns and cornice, having glazed timber door and fixed multiple-pane flanking windows. Sunburst fanlight to location of original door opening behind porch. Render and timber portico comprising carved limestone stepped approach, Doric columns and pilasters surmounted by frieze and cornice. Attached single-storey pitched roofed outbuilding to side (east). Rubble stone garden walls to rear with attached single-storey lean-to outbuilding, central entrance tower and round-headed arched recesses. Concrete boundary walls to front with gate piers to north-east. Rubble stone boundary walls to rear and sides. Set within own grounds.

Description
Detached T-plan three-bay two-storey house, built c.1930, having breakfront to western end of front (south) with two-storey canted bays to breakfront and eastern end-bay. Recent porch to front, lean-to extensions to rear (north) and recent conservatory to side (east). Hipped slate roofs with red brick chimneystacks, ceramic ridge tiles, overhanging eaves and cast-iron rainwater goods. Lined-and-ruled render walls with sill courses to canted bays. Description
Single-span humpback road bridge, built c.1760. Round-headed arch with dressed limestone voussoirs. Rubble stone walls and parapets with rendered coping.
