  Description

  On flat shoulder of S-facing slope overlooking valley of River Douglas, a tributary of Sullane River. Comprises gallery (L 3.2m; Wth c. 1.2m) aligned E-W, represented by four N sidestones, two surviving S sidestones and backstone at E end; W end closed by low sill-like stone. Three parallel stones at NW corner of monument may be multiple outer walling. Single outer-wall stone outside E end of gallery. Two displaced roofstones lie across S gallery side.   Description

  In moorland, in wide shallow saddle between two hills, 1.5m W of confluence of Douglas and Sullane Rivers. Circle incomplete; may have consisted of thirteen stones. Seven erect stones and five prostrate slabs survive, including axial stone and entrance stones. Orthostats are 0.6m to 1.4m L,0.2m to 0.9m T and 0.5m to 0.9m H.   Description

  Shown as hachured subcircular enclosure on 1842 OS 6-inch map; indicated on 1904 and 1940 OS 6-inch maps. In pasture, on S-facing slope. Roughly circular area (38m N-S; 32m E-W) enclosed by stone wall (H c. 1m) SE->ENE; replaced by field fence ENE->SE. Breaks in wall to NNE, E and SW. Interior generally slopes gently down to SSW; cut into upslope on N side, giving internal wall height of 2.8m; raised slightly on S side to compensate for hillslope. Wall overgrown with trees, bushes and briars; internally faced with large boulders on N side. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
