Description
Situated on a gentle NE-facing slope with steeper slopes to the E. Oval enclosure (dims. c. 25m x 20m) visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs (GSIAP, O 172-3). Not visible at ground level. Description
Situated on a gentle N/NE-facing slope. Circular area (diam. 19m) defined by a poorly preserved earthen bank (Wth 2m; H 0.4m) with a discontinuous revetment of small boulders. At the S and W the site is masked by clearance stones. No trace of an entrance or external fosse. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). Description
Situated on a low, level natural platform on a gentle S/SW-facing slope. Oval area (dims. 24m NW-SE; 20.5m NE-SW) defined by a low earth and stone bank (Wth 1.3-1.9m; H 0.25-0.5m). At the NE and W remnants of the inner and outer revetting of the bank survive in the form of large stones up to 2m apart. No trace of an entrance, a fosse or internal features. Description
Situated on a gentle S-facing slope. Subcircular site (dims. 21m N-S; 17.5m E-W) defined from ESE-SW by a stony bank (Wth 1.7-2.7m; H 0.3-0.8m) with a low internal and external boulder revetment. Slight remains of bank at the W. From NW-E the site has been cut into the hillslope and is defined by a sharp drop (H 1m) which may have been surmounted by a stone bank. No indication of an entrance or internal features. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
