- KK009-009 Ringfort - rath
Description
On the W-facing slope of a valley, just above the boggy valley floor, in rough pasture. There are good views in all directions. A roughly circular area (diam. 30m) defined by an earthen bank, best preserved at W (Wth 2m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 1m), only visible as slight terrace at E (ext. H 0.3m). Bisected by a modern field boundary running NE-SW across the interior. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 29 January 2018

Description
In flat grassland on a ridge between to valleys. There are good views in all directions. A circular area (diam. 39m) enclosed by low, wide bank (Wth 4m; int. H c. 0.6m; ext. H c. 1.6m) with steep stoney faces and external fosse (Wth 2-2.5m; D 0.5-0.6m). There are several hollows in the interior where there is a concentration of reeds growing. There is an entrance (Wth 4m) at the ESE which may be original and subsequently widened. There is a quarry immediately outside to the NE. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 29 January 2018

Description
On a fairly steep W-facing slope on the side of a valley. A circular area (diam. c. 25m) enclosed by low earthen bank (Wth c. 3m; int. H 1m; ext. H 0.8m) and an external fosse (Wth c. 4m; D 0.6m). The fosse is less evident in the S and W sectors. The bank and fosse have been damaged by a field boundary running NW-SE along the perimeter in the E quadrant. - KK009-020001 Ringfort - rath
Description
On the crest of a hill in rolling grassland. There are good views N and S along the ridge and across the valleys to the SE and NW. A roughly oval raised platform (diam. 35m E-W, 32m N-S; H c. 1.5-1.8m) enclosed by fosse (Wth 4m; D c. 0.3m) which survives best at S but is barely traceable on the other side. The interior is slightly dished (D c. 0.2-0.3m) and is evidently fairly wet in the winter months, with reeds growing in interior. There is an entrance (Wth c. 4m) in the SSE which has probably been widened. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 31 January 2018
- KK009-021 Moated site
Description
On a S-facing slope of valley, just below the crest of a flat hilltop, in rolling grassland. There are good views in all directions. A roughly square area (dims. 44m N-S; 40m E-W) enclosed by a bank (Wth at crest 2m; overall Wth 6m; int. H 1.2m; ext. H 3m) and external fosse (Wth 2m; D 1.8m), though this only survives where it is incorporated in a field boundary which runs along the N length and NW angle of the moated site. The E, S and W sides were levelled in 1987, with only traces of a wet fosse, visible at ground level. Before being levelled it was visited by Barry (1977, 186) who describes it as a, 'platform raised 1m. Int. banks 2.8m wide and 1.25m high. Dry moat 2.50m wide', he also mentions that it was planted with larch trees '40 years ago', i.e. the 1930s. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 31 January 2018
