Description
On a gentle E-facing slope of a plateau. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 38m N-S; 37m E-W) defined by a flat-topped earthen bank (Wth of base 2.8-3.3m; Wth of top 1-1.3m; int. H 0.3-0.4m; ext. H 0.7-1.2m) and a rush-covered rounded fosse (Wth of top 4.5-5.6m; Wth of base 1.8-3m; D 0.15-0.45m). There are many gaps in the bank, but the original entrance could not be identified (max. ext. diam. 49m N-S; 47m E-W). See the attached aerial view taken from the WNW. Description
On a gentle E-facing slope of a WNW-ESE ridge. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 26.4m N-S) defined by slight traces of an earthen bank with some bushes (Wth c. 3-3.5m; int. H 0.1-0.2m; ext. H 1.2m) SSE-W-NNW which is reduced to a scarp (H 1m) elsewhere, and an outer rounded fosse (Wth of top 5.6-6m; Wth of base 2m; D 0.4m). There is an entrance through the bank (Wth 1.2m), but no causeway, at WSW and the edge of the platform has been quarried ENE-SSE (max. ext. diam. 38m N-S). Description
On a gentle E-facing slope. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 38.8m NW-SE) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 4.2-4.4m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 1.1m) NNE-E-SSW and a scarp (H 1m) WSW-NNW. The perimeter has been quarried away SSW-WSW and NNW-NNE (dim. 26m NE-SW). There is an outer rounded fosse (Wth of top 6.5-7.5m; Wth of base 2.3-3.4m; D 0.1m at NE to 1.05m at NW), and the entrance (Wth 2m) and causeway (Wth 6m) are at SE. Description
On a gentle E-facing slope. Circular, domed and grass-covered area (diam. 17.3m N-S; H 0.3-0.4m) defined by a flat-bottomed fosse (Wth of top 8.4-9m; Wth of base 3.8-4.8m; D 1.3-1.8m) and an overgrown earthen bank (Wth 4.8-5.3m; H 0.45-0.55m). The fosse has been deepened at E to create a pond, and there are numerous breaks in the bank, none of which can be regarded as original (max. ext. diam. 36m N-S).
