Description
On the W-facing slope of an E-W drumlin ridge. Subrectangular grass-covered area (dims 38.8m N-S; 31.5m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 5m; int. H 0.3-0.45m; ext. H 2-2.2m) SE-NW which is reduced to a scarp (H 1.4-1.6m) elsewhere, separated by a flat-bottomed fosse (Wth of top 7.5-9.5m; Wth of base 4-5.25m; D 0.6-1.4m) from a complete outer bank (Wth 3-4.7m; ext. H 0.7-1.2m), which has an external flat-bottomed fosse (Wth of top 4.5m; Wth of base 3m; D 0.5m) and third outer bank (Wth 3m; ext. H 1.2m) only SE-SW (max. ext. dims 67.3m N-S; 53.45m E-W). Description
Marked as a circular hachured feature (diam. c. 25m) only on the 1914 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated at the crest of the S-facing slope of an E-W drumlin ridge. Described as an arc (C 19m) of an earthen bank with no visible fosse W-NE that had been truncated by a NE-SW field bank (Gannon 1972). It is not now visible at ground level in pasture. Marked only on the 1914 ed. of the OS 6-inch map as a hachured D-shaped feature (dims c. 20m N-S; c. 10m E-W) truncated by a N-S field bank at E. Situated in a low-lying position between drumlins to the N and S. Described as a semi-circular bank (Gannon 1972), it is no longer visible and the site is now occupied by a house and garden. Description
On a NE-facing slope. Circular grass-covered platform (diam. 21m E-W; 20.5m N-S; H 0.25m at S to 0.4-0.6m generally) separated by a fosse (Wth of top 7.5-9m; Wth of base 5m; D 0.9-1.25m) from an outer bank (Wth 3.8-4.3m; H 0.4-0.45m). Description
Marked only on the 1914 ed. of the OS 6-inch map as a D-shaped area (dims c. 30m E-W; c. 20m N-S) truncated by an E-W field wall at S, and situated on a gentle N-facing slope. Description
On a rise on a gentle N-facing slope. Circular grass-covered area (int. diam. 24m) defined by a grass-covered stone spread (Wth 3-4.5m; H 0.1-0.6m) with no visible facing stones or entrance, although one (Wth 4m) was noted at S (Gannon 1972).
