  Description

  Marked only on the 1914 ed. of the OS 6-inch map as a D-shaped feature (dims c. 40m NW-SE; c. 20m NE-SW), and situated on the NE-facing slope of a broad plateau and on the SW side of a NW-SE road.   Description

  On a rise of a broad E-W ridge. Circular grass-covered earthen mound (diam. 12.5m E-W; 12m N-S; H 2.3m at W to 2.8m at S) with a flat summit (diam. 1.15m).   Description

  On top of a broad E-W ridge. Circular grass and scrub-covered but poached platform (diam. 15.2m N-S; 15m E-W), which is slightly domed, defined by a scarp (H 0.7m at S to 1.05m at W), and an outer fosse (Wth of base 3.2m; D 0.2m) W-NW.   Description

  On top of a broad E-W ridge. Circular grass-covered area (diam. c. 30m) defined by a low, gentle scarp (H 0.3-0.8m). It was described in 1957 as having a widely spread bank (Wth c. 4.5m; int. H 0.2m; ext . H c. 1.2m) and outer fosse (Wth of top c. 4m; ext. D 0.3m) (SMR file). Barrow (RO015-060----) is c. 120m to the W, and ring-barrow (RO016-062----) is c. 80m to the E.   Description

  On a slight rise of a broad E-W ridge. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 22.5m N-S; 22.5m E-W) defined by a gapped earthen bank (Wth 3.15m at N to 4.6m at S; int. H 0.5-0.8m; ext. H 1.1m at N to 1.45m at W) at S and WSW-NNE, and by a scarp (H 0.6m at E to 1m at SW) elsewhere. There is no visible fosse or entrance, but a NNW-SSE field wall overlies the interior towards the perimeter at E.   Description

  On a rise of the S-facing slope of a broad E-W ridge. Circular grass-covered but poached area (diam. 27m N-S; 25.5m E-W) defined by a gapped earthen bank (Wth 2.55m at S to 3.7m at E; int. H 0.25-0.35m; ext. H 0.6-1m) NNW-E-S, and by a scarp (H 0.9-1.95m) elsewhere. There is no visible fosse or entrance. Rath (RO016-063----) is c. 130m to the NNW, rath (RO016-065----) is c. 170m to the E, rath (RO016-067----) is c. 210m to the SW, and holy well (RO016-066----) is c. 110m to the SSE.   Description

  In a hollow on top of a broad NW-SE ridge. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 24.5m N-S; 22.5m E-W) defined by a gapped earthen bank (Wth 2.8-3.5m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 1.05-1.45m) ENE-S-WNW and by a scarp (H 1.4m) elsewhere, separated by a fosse (Wth of top 6.8m at N; Wth of base 5-5.7m; D 0.4 - 0.75m) SE-W-NE from an outer bank (Wth 2.7m at N to 4.2m at SE; int. H 0.9m; ext. H 0.5m) NW-ENE and ESE-SSE. The entrance (Wth 2.5m) in the inner bank is at E. A NNW-SSE field wall truncates the outer edge of the fosse at W. • RO016-066 Ritual site - holy well
  Description

  At the bottom of a SW-facing slope of a broad NW-SE ridge and regarded as a holy well (OS Name Books). A rectangular spring (dims 2m NW-SE; 2m NE-SW) surrounded by a drystone wall (Wth 0.6m; H 1.5) on all sides except the SE, from which a stream flows S and then NW. A hawthorn tree stands immediately to the E and there is a shelf against the inner face of the SW sidewall, but there is no evidence of veneration.
