  Description

  Marked only on the 1915 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated towards the top of the gentle ENE-facing slope of a col. Circular grass-covered platform (diam. c. 26m ENE-WSW; c. 24m NNW-SSE) defined by a scarp (max. H 0.35m), but with a slight fosse (Wth of top c. 5.5m; ext. D 0.2m) and outer bank (at SSE: Wth 4.4m; ext. H 0.3m) SE-SSW. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010

• RO042-079001 Ringfort - rath
  Description

  On a slight W-E spur towards the bottom of an E-facing slope. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 52m ENE-WSW; 51m NNW-SSE) defined by an earth and stone bank (Wth 5.8-7.1m; int. H 0.4-0.55m; ext. H 0.6-1.05m) which is slightly truncated by a NW-SE field wall and townland boundary with Lisdaulan at NE. There is no visible fosse, but the entrance (Wth 4m) is at ESE. Two relict field banks (RO042-079002-) which extended from the perimter at W in 1977 (SMR file) no longer survive. Rath (RO042-080----) is c. 200m to the E.   Description

  Marked as a circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 50m) on the 1837 and 1915 eds of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on a gentle ENE-facing slope. It is not visible at ground level in pasture. Rath (RO042-083----) is c. 130m to the SE. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010

  Description

  Marked on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map as an embanked enclosure cut by a NE-SW road towards the perimeter at NW. It is situated towards the top of a SE-facing slope. A fragment of grass-covered earthen bank (Wth 2.6m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 0.6m) and outer fosse (Wth of top 3.8m; Wth of base 1.6m; ext. D 0.3m) survives NW of the NE-SW road. South of the road a short section of an overgrown earthen bank (Wth 2.5m) survives ENE-ESE (diam. 33.2m WNW-ESE). Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
