  Description

  Towards the E end of a low E-W ridge. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 28m E-W; 26m N-S) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (Wth 4.9m; int. H 0.6m; ext. H 1.3m) at SSW and by a scarp (H 0.65m at S to 1.05m at E) elsewhere. This perimeter is separated by a fosse (Wth of top 4.2m; Wth of base 2.4-2.8m; D 0.1-0.4m) SE-W-N, which is visible as a band of wet ground (Wth 3m) NE-E, from an overgrown outer bank (at W: Wth 4m; int. H 0.7m; ext. H 0.6m) SE-W-N. The original entrance is not identified. Rath (RO017-020----) is c. 60m to the WSW. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010

  Description

  On the crest of the S-facing slope of an ENE-WSW drumlin ridge, towards the W end. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 35.5m N-S; 34m E-W) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (at W: Wth 5m; int. H 0.7m; ext. H 0.95m) WSW-NNW which is reduced to a scarp (H 1-1.1m) elsewhere, separated by a fosse (Wth of base 3-3.8m; D 0.8m) S-N-ESE from an overgrown outer bank (Wth 5-6.8m; int. H 1.3m; ext. H 0.5m-0.75m) S-W-NE and E-ESE. There is no visible entrance. Earthwork (RO017-025001-) and rath (RO017-025002-) are c. 130m and c. 160m to the NE.   Description

  Marked on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map as a circular feature (diam. c. 35m) and on the 1914 ed. as a small rectangular enclosure (dims c. 20m NW-SE; c. 20m NE-SW) attached to the SW of rath (RO017-025002-).   Description

  Marked only on the 1914 ed. of the OS 6-inch map as a circular enclosure, with earthwork (RO017-025001-) attached to the SW, although there was perhaps ever only one feature at this location. Situated at the crest of the S-facing slope of an ENE-WSW drumlin ridge. Subcircular grass-covered area (dims 30.5m NW-SE; 28.5m NE-SW) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3.6m; int. H 0.6m; ext.   Description

  At the summit at the E end of an ENE-WSW drumlin ridge. Described as a circular area (diam. c. 40m E-W) defined by an eroded earthen bank and a slight outer fosse circumscribed by a road NE-S-SW (Gannon 1972). It is now visible as a circular grass-covered area (diam. c. 44m) which is defined by a scarp (H 0.4-1m), and circumscribed by a road NE-S-SW. Rath (RO017-027----) is c. 160m to the SSE. • RO017-027 Ringfort - rath
  Description

  Towards the bottom of the S-facing slope of an ENE-WSW drumlin ridge, at the E end. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 28m N-S; 28m E-W) defined by an earthen bank with bushes (Wth 4m; int. H 0.7m; ext. H 0.7m) SW-W, a scarp (H 0.7-1m) down to the interior NW-N and an external scarp (H 0.6-1.45m) NE-S. There is a record of a fosse (Wth 4-5.7m) in 1987 (SMR file) which is no longer visible, and there is no visible entrance. Rath (RO017-026----) is c. 160m to the NNW. • RO017-029 Ringfort - rath
  Description

  On a slight rise in a level landscape with a small SW-NE stream or drain c. 40m to the SE. It is described as 'Lissaphuca' - the imp's lios - only on the 1908 edition of the OS 6-inch map. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 45.5m N-S; 43m E-W) defined by an overgrown scarp (H 1.2-1.6m), and an outer fosse (Wth of top 5.3m; Wth of base 3m; D 0.4m) N-NE which was at one time complete (Gannon 1972).
