Description
At the SW end of a low NE-SW drumlin ridge. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 34.5m E-W; 31.7m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 5m; int. H 0.5-0.8m; ext. H 1.2-1.3m) SSW-WSW and a scarp (H 1.25m at S to 1.65m at E) elsewhere. This is separated by a fosse (Wth of base 2.2-3.5m; D 0.1-0.3m) SW-NNW from an outer earthen bank (Wth 2.8m; int. H 0.1-0.2m; ext. H 0.4-0.5m) SW-WNW. There is no visible entrance, and the fosse is continued by a berm (Wth 2-3m) S-SW. Description
Marked on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map as an embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 35m), and situated on the crest of a low NE-SW drumlin. It is not visible at ground level in pasture. Description
At the NE end of a low NE-SW drumlin. Described as a subcircular area (diam. c. 33m N-S; 30m E-W) defined by an earth and stone bank and outer fosse (Gannon 1972). It is no longer visible at ground level, although surrounded by bushes S-W-NE. Rath (RO011-108002-) is c. 60m to the SW and rath (RO011-108001-) is c. 130m to the SW. Description
At the crest of the SE-facing slope of a low NE-SW ridge. Circular overgrown area (diam. c. 30m) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 5m; int. H 0.3-1m; ext. H 1.3m) W-NW and a scarp (H 1m generally to 1.6m at S) elsewhere separated by a fosse (Wth of base 3.5m generally to 5.15m at W; D 0.2-0.9m) from an outer earthen bank (Wth 2.5-3m; int. H 0.6-0.7m; ext. H 0.3-0.4m) NW-NE and SE-S. There is an outer fosse (Wth of base 2.5-2.7m) and a third outer bank (Wth 3.5m; H 0.2-0.5m) NW-NE. The entrance cannot be identified. A rectangular overgrown enclosure or annexe (RO011-11102-) (dims 43m N-S; 23m E-W) to the W is defined by an earthen bank (Wth 4.25-5.7m; int. H 0.4-0.55m; ext. H 0.9-1m) at W and N and scarps (H 0.9-1m) elsewhere. It has an outer fosse (Wth of base 3.2m; D 0.3-0.5m) at W, and is bisected by a NNW-SSE field bank. Description
At the crest of the SE-facing slope of a low NE-SW ridge, attached to the W of rath (RO011-111001-). Rectangular overgrown area (dims. 43m N-S; 23m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 4.25-5.7m; int. H 0.4-0.55m; ext. H 0.9-1m) at W and N and a scarp (H 0.9-1m) elsewhere. Description
Marked as a circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 40m) on the 1837 and 1914 eds. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated towards the top of the N-facing slope of a low NE-SW ridge. Rectangular grass-covered area (dims 33.2m E-W; 31m N-S) defined by a scarp (H 1m) at S, a field bank at N and earthen banks at W (Wth 2.7m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 0.6m) and E (Wth 3.45m; int. H 0.3m; ext. 0.65m). There is an outer fosse or moat (Wth of base 6.75m; D 0.25m) and outer bank (Wth 3m; ext. H 0.25m) at W. Rath (RO011-111001-) is c. 80m to the NW.
