  Description

  Marked as a circular embanked feature (ext. diam. c. 50m) on the 1837 and 1914 eds of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on top of a broad low drumlin.   Description

  Marked as a circular embanked feature (ext. diam. c. 45m) on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and as a subrectangular feature on the 1914 ed. Situated on a NE-SW drumlin ridge. Rectangular grass-covered area (dims 38m NW-SE; 37m NE-SW) with a rounded corner at N defined by overgrown earthen banks (Wth 4m; int. H 0.4-0.7m; ext.   Description

  Towards the bottom of the N-facing slope of a NE-SW drumlin ridge. Circular overgrown area (diam. 27m) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3.9m at N to 8m at E; int. H 0.65m at NW to 1.1m at W; ext. H 0.95m at NW to 1.6m at W), with traces of an outer fosse (Wth of base 2m; D 0.1m) SE-SW. The entrance (Wth 2.9m) is at SE. Rath (RO011-104----) is c. 90m to the SSW.   Description

  Towards the top of the NE-facing slope a NE-SW drumlin ridge. Oval grass-covered area (dims 35.5m NE-SW; 29.3m NW-SE) defined by a short stretch of earthen bank (Wth 4.25m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 0.95m) with an outer fosse (Wth of base 2m; D 0.1-0.2m) at W and a scarp (H 0.55m at SW to 1.4m at SE) elsewhere. There is no visible entrance, but the fosse is represented by a band of wet ground (Wth 2-2.5m) NW-ENE and SE-S. Rath (RO011-103----) is c. 90m to the NNE.   The parish church of Killummod, listed as Killaunach in the ecclesiastical taxation of Elphin in 1306 (Cal. doc. Ire., vol. 5, 224), is described as ruined in the 1650s (Simmington 1949, 156) and in the 1830s (Lewis 1837, vol. 2, 157). Situated on a level shelf. Nothing remains of a church within an irregularly shaped graveyard (RO011-106002-) (max. dims 50m N-S; 40m E-W) defined by masonry walls. Enclosure (RO011-105----) is c. 70m to the NNE.
