  Description

  On a slight SSE-facing slope. Subcircular grass-covered area (dims 43.8m NE-SW; 39.5m NW-SE) defined by an overgrown but poached earthen bank (Wth 4.4-4.7m; int. H 0.95-1.3m; ext. H 1.45-2.05m), which is incorporated into a field bank WSW-NW, and an outer fosse (at NE: Wth of top 7.2m; Wth of base 3.8m; ext. D 0.9m) NW-NE.   On a slight SE-facing slope. Circular grass-covered area with lazy-beds (diam. 38.1m ENE-WSW; 37.6m NNW-SSE) defined by an earthen bank and hedge (Wth 3.7-4.2m; int. H 0.65-0.8m; ext. H 1.25-1.55m), with external stone cladding at S, and an outer fosse (Wth of top 5.4m; Wth of base 2.9m; ext. D 0.55m) only visible at ENE. The entrance (Wth 1.3m) is at WSW.   Description

  Marked as a D-shaped embanked enclosure (dims c. 30m N-S; c. 25m E-W) cut by a N-S field bank at E on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and as a D-shaped feature (dims c. 35m N-S; c. 35m E-W) truncated by field banks at N and E on the 1915 ed. It is situated on a slightly undulating landscape, but is not visible at ground level in reclaimed pasture.   Description

  On a slightly undulating landscape. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 47m WNW-ESE) defined by an earthen bank (at WNW: Wth 7m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 0.6m) which was truncated by a WNW-ESE field boundary, now removed, at S, and an outer fosse (at WNW: Wth of top 7.5m; Wth of base 2m; ext. D 0.35m) SW-NNW. • RO042-030 Ringfort - rath
  Description

  On a gentle E-facing slope. Subcircular grass and thistle-covered area (dims 41.8m ENE-WSW; 36m NNW-SSE) defined by an earthen bank and hedge (Wth 6-7.4m; int. H 1.05m; ext. H 1.05-1.55m), with an outer fosse (Wth of top 6.3m; Wth of base 2.6m; ext. D 0.3m) SSE-SSW. There is no identifiable original entrance but the perimeter is quarried WNW-NNW.   Description

  Marked on an estate map of 1777 in NLI (ms 19672, no. 1.2) associated with Mote Demesne in an undulating landscape. It survives in places as a track (Wth c. 20m) between field banks and outer ditches, planted with mature deciduous trees, but is likely to be 18th century in date.
