Description
Situated on a rise in level, lowlying pasture. Circular platform (dims. 34m E-W; 33m N-S) atop a high mound of earth and stone (H 3.1m). The platform is enclosed by a wide, low bank of earth and stone (Wth. 6m; H 0.5m) with evidence for internal stone kerbing. At the foot of the mound is a wide fosse (Wth. 5m) with a substantial outer bank (Wth. 5m; H 1m - 1.3m). The outer bank has been modified and incorporated into the field boundary from SSE-S-WNW. Stone-lined breaks in bank at E (Wth. 1.5m and 2m) with connecting causeway represents original entrance. Within the internal area, immediately inside the entrance, is an approx. square, slightly sunken area (dims. 9m NE-SW; c.8.5m NW-SE - D 0.2m) whose SE and SW sides are defined by settings of small stones. Only the outline of its NW side is now identifiable. Compiled by: Patrick F. O'Donovan Date of upload: 19 January 2011

Description
Situated atop a low rise in pasture. Slightly raised circular area (diam. 6.6m) enclosed by a low bank of earth and stone (Wth. 2.5m - 2.8m; H 0.4m) with internal fosse (Wth. 1.7m; 0.3m). Original entrance not recognisable. Compiled by: Patrick F. O'Donovan Date of upload: 19 January 2011

Description
Situated on the S-facing slope of a low rise in pasture. Slightly raised circular area (diam. 6m) defined by a low bank of earth and stone (Wth. 0.7m - 1m; H 0.2m - 0.5m) with internal and external stone kerbs. At NW is a break in the bank at NW (Wth. 0.5m). However this may be the result of modern disturbance rather than an original entrance feature. Compiled by: Patrick F. O'Donovan Date of upload: 19 January 2011

Description
Situated on a slight rise in undulating pasture. Raised circular area (diam. 23m) defined by a broad scarp (H 1.5m). No bank. The outline of an infilled external fosse (Wth. 1.6m - 2m) is identifiable from N-E-S. From S-W-NNW the perimeter and portion of the interior have been destroyed by a laneway which encircles this part of the site. Causeway across the fosse at ESE (Wth. 2m) probably indicates original entrance. Compiled by: Patrick F. O'Donovan Date of upload: 19 January 2011
- SL019-030 Ringfort - rath
Description
Situated on a rise in average pasture. Slightly raised oval area (dims. 23.5m E-W; 17.5m N-S) defined by a scarp. At the upper edge of the scarp at SE is the remaining portion of a bank of earth and stone (Wth. 3.7m; H 0.65m). No fosse. At the foot of the bank from N-NNE-NE is a shallow quarry. Original entrance not recognisable. Compiled by: Patrick F. O'Donovan Date of upload: 19 January 2011

Description
Situated on a rise in gently undulating pasture. Raised circular area (dims. 23m E-W; 22m N-S) enclosed by a bank of earth and stone (Wth. 3.7m; H 0.7m) which ephemeral traces of an inner stone kerb. The bank was probably higher at N to compensate for a fall-off in ground level. No fosse. Partially blocked up break in bank at NE (present Wth. 0.7m) probably represents original location. There are a number of small sod-covered heaps of stones within the internal area. Compiled by: Patrick F. O'Donovan Date of upload: 19 January 2011
- SL019-095001 Enclosure
Description
Situated on a low rise in gently undulating pasture. Not marked on the 1837 edition of the OS 6-inch map. Two enclosures. The W enclosure comprises a raised approx. oval area (dims. 19.6m N-S; 16.7m E-W) defined by the remains of a low drystone wall (Wth. 2.5m; int. H 0.3m - 0.45m) with both internal and external stone kerbing visible in places. Break in wall (Wth. 2m) at W. The site is bisected by a NNE-SSE field wall which marks the boundary between Bunnafedia and Carrowconor townlands. Adjoining the E part of the site is the second enclosure. This comprises an almost D-shaped area (dims. 20.5m N-S; 17m E-W) with a more poorly preserved enclosing wall (Wth. 1.8m - 4m; int. H 0.2m) than that of the first enclosure. Extending NE-SW through the interior, slightly N of centre, is a low SE-facing scarp (H 0.55m). A poorly defined break (Wth. 1m) in the NE wall of the this enclosure (and the NW of the second) was probably the location of the entrance between the two enclosures. Compiled by: Patrick F. O'Donovan Date of upload: 19 January 2011

Extending NE-SW through the interior, slightly N of centre, is a low SE-facing scarp (H 0.55m). - SL019-223 Burnt mound
Description
In rolling pasture, situated at the edge of a low naturally-occurring scarp which borders the NE edge of an area of wet, marshy ground. It is sheltered on the SW side by a low knoll, now partly quarried out. A modern road lies a few meters to NW. A sod-covered, oblong rise (c. 18m N-S; 12m E-W; H 0.55m) sloping into the marshy area on the W side, with a well defined edge at N-NE changing to a broader more gradual slope at E-SE. The limits of the mound at S are difficult to determine. It is composed of shattered sandstone within a charcoal rich matrix. There is another burnt mound (SL019-224----) located c. 140m to NE. Compiled by: Jane O'Shaughnessy Date of upload: 12 May 2011

Description
In rolling pasture, located on the E edge of area of wet ground. There is a field drain, flanking a modern road, a few meters to NW. Low, oval-shaped rise (c. 8m NNW-SSE; c. 6m ENE-WSW) composed of shattered sandstone within a charcoal matrix. From S-NW the defining element is a scarp (H 0.6m). Elsewhere the perimeter is less easily traced. There is another burnt mound (SL019-223---) located c. 140m to SW. Compiled by: Jane O'Shaughnessy Date of upload: 12 May 2011
- SL019-225 Hut site
Description
In pasture, situated at the E edge of a low rise, overlooking a pool of water to E. Roughly oval-shaped area (9m N-S; 7m E-W) defined by a low rim or bank (Wth. 1.75m - 2.7m; int. H 0.35m at E, 0.6m at W; ext. H 0.2m at E, 0.55m at W) of earth and stone. The interior appears slightly sunken. The somewhat irregular shape of this feature, and the variable width of the enclosing bank, casts some doubt on its interpretation as a hut site. A small quarry pit (diam. c. 12) is located c. 10m to E dug into the base of the rise. There is a rath (SL019-098----) c. 50m to SW. Compiled by: Jane O'Shaughnessy Date of upload: 12 May 2011
