  Description

  The following description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Carlow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17 July 2007 Subcircular area (c. 40m N-S; 30m E-W) surrounded by earthen bank with external fosse. Entrance at SE. From S-W-N bank incorporated in field boundary with modern drain along inner face.

  Description

  Large oval shaped enclosure (c. 160m E-W, c. 60m N-S) defined by a very narrow fosse visible on aerial photographs (ASIAP (51) 10-14). Appears to post date the field boundary marked on both the 1839 and the 1908 'OS 6-inch' maps. Compiled by: Claire Breen Date of upload: 22 March 2012
