• RO022-057061 Road - road/trackway
  Description

  Marked on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on the N-facing slope of a low hill at the E foot of Rathcroghan ridge. An earthen bank (Wth 2.2m; H 0.6m) aligned NW-SE (L c. 1km) is separated by a berm (Wth 2.2m) at SW from a lower earthen bank (Wth 5m; H 0.3-0.5m) with traces of a drain (Wth 1.7m) outside it. This may have been part of the Tulsk-Bellanagare road (now N5) before the present road, looping S of the hill, was constructed before 1837 (OS 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map).   Description

  Situated just W of the summit of a low hill at the E foot of Rathcroghan ridge. Described as faint traces of an enclosure (diam. c. 40m) (Waddell 1983, 41, No. 47).   Description

  Description

  Towards the bottom of a gentle E-facing slope of Rathcroghan. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 24.3m N-S; 23.5m E-W) defined by a slight bank (Wth 3m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 0.9m) and outer fosse (Wth of base 2m; D 0.3m) WSW-N, with a scarp (H 0.4-0.9m) elsewhere. There are entrances at ESE (Wth 2.5m) and WNW (Wth 1.4m). Rath (RO022-057051-) is c. 240m to the NNW.
