Description
Towards the bottom of the E-facing slope of Rathcroghan. A natural spring (diam. c. 6m) surrounded by field stones, which is the origin of a stream that runs off to the E. Rath (RO022-057055-) is c. 30m to the W, and the well is at the E end of road (RO022-057021-). There is no evidence of veneration, but the site of Toberkeagh (RO022-057069-) is 100m to the SW. Description
Towards the bottom of the E-facing slope of Rathcroghan. D-shaped grass-covered area (dims 35m N-S; c. 30m E-W) sloping down to the E (H of slope c. 3m) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 2.6-2.8m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 0.4-0.5m) S-NW, and a slight scarp (H 0.1m) E-S. It is truncated by the S bank of road (RO022-057021-) at N. There is a house platform (RO022-057072-) (dims c. 8m E-W; 6m N-S; H 0.1m at W to 0.7m at E) just N of the centre. There is no visible fosse or entrance. The well (RO022-057053-) is c. 30m to the NE. - RO022-057057 Ringfort - rath
Description
On a low E-W ridge at the E foot of Rathcroghan ridge. Subcircular grass-covered platform (dims c. 26m WNW-ESE; 22m NNE-SSW) defined by a scarp (H 0.9m at NNE to 1.7m at SSW) SSE-W-NE, which merges into the slope elsewhere. There is a slight bank (int. Description
On a level landscape at the E foot of Rathcroghan plateau and part of the unified field sytem of Rathcroghan. Earthen banks defining large rectangular fields (SMR file 1987) were recorded in the vicinity of rath (RO022-057057-). The area was also overlaid with pits (RO022-057059-). Description
On a level landscape at the E foot of the Rathcroghan plateau. Described in 1987 as a fragment of a roadway (L c. 500m) defined by earthen banks (SMR file) at the N end of field system (RO022-057058-) and within pitfield (RO022-057059-). At its W end it may have turned S (L c. 160m) to join the E end of road (RO022-057021-) at Tober Caoch (RO022-057053-), but there is no evidence of this. At its E end it ran past a farmhouse in Cammoge (ACAP: V206/ 22, 21) (L c. 1km), connecting with its old entrance lane and is continued by the lane runniing past raths (RO022-57056-; RO022-079----). It is no longer visible at ground level in pasture, except for a section (L c. 300m) in Carrowgobbadagh. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010

Description
Marked on the 1837 and 1914 eds of the OS 6-inch map, and described in gothic lettering on both as Toberkeagh. It is situated towards the bottom of the E-facing slope of Rathcroghan ridge. There is no trace of a well here, and it is thought to be a mistaken location of the well (RO022-057053-) which is c. 100m to the NE. This is a National Monument in state ownership: No. 294.
