  Description

  In a hollow on an undulating landscape. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 34m) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (Wth 4-4.7m; int. H 0.3-0.65m; ext. H 1.6-1.8m) WNW-E-SW which is reduced to a scarp (H 1.1-1.4m) elsewhere, and an outer fosse (Wth of base 2.5-4m; D 0.3-0.75m) N-NE and E-S. A gap (Wth 4m) in the bank at ENE may be the original entrance. A circular hut-site (RO016-024002-) (int. diam. 3.7-4m) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 2.4-3.4m; int. H 0.4-0.7m; ext. • RO016-025001 Ringfort - cashel
  Description

  Marked only on the 1914 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated in a hollow in an undulating landscape. Circular grass-covered area (diam. c. 30m) defined by a grass and scrub-covered stone spread (Wth 5m generally to 8.5m at E; int. H 0.8-1.5m; ext. H 0.1m at N to 1.5m at E) with intermittently visible facing stones. There is no visible entrance. Hut-site (RO016-025002-) and mound (RO016-025003-) are outside the cashel to the N.   Description

  On a low rise immediately N of a cashel (RO016-025001-). Circular grass-covered area (int. diam. 8m) defined by a grass-covered stone spread (Wth 2-3m; int. H 0.2-0.5m; ext. H 0.2-0.8m) with facing stones intermittently visible (original Wth. c. 1.5m). A gap (Wth 2.35m) at ENE may be the original entrance. Mound (RO016-025003-) is just to the N.   Marked only on the 1914 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on a low rise just N of a cashel (RO016-025001-) and hut-site (RO-016-025002-).   Description

  Described as an enclosure defined by a bank and fosse, well-preserved to W and NW of cashel (RO016-025001-), and enclosing the hut-site (RO016-025002-) and mound (RO016-025003-).   Description

  On a very slight rise in an undulating landscape. Circular grass-covered area (diam. c. 24m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3.2m at S to 5.7m at W; int. H 0.2m at N to 1.05m at E; ext. H 1.5-1.7m). There is no visibile fosse or entrance, and a NW-SE field bank bisects the interior. Barrow (RO016-027----) is c. 120m to the SE.   On a low rise in an undulating landscape. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 3m) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 2-2.5m; int. H 0.35m at N to 0.7m at S; ext. H 0.35-0.7m) surrounded by a berm (Wth 4-4.6m) defined by a scarp (H 1.5m) (ext. diam. of top 16m N-S; max. ext. diam. of base 26.3m N-S). Rath (RO016-026----) is c. 120m to the NW.
