  Description

  At the crest of the W end of an E-W ridge. Rectangular grass-covered platform (dims 37.3m ENE-WSW; 25.7m NNW-SSE) defined by earthen banks (at NNW: Wth 3-3.8m; int. H 0.7m; ext. H 1.5m) at WSW, SSE and ENE, and a complete flat-bottomed moat (Wth of top 4.7-6.7m; Wth of base 2.6-5m; D 0.8-1m), with outer banks (Wth 4-4.5m; ext. H 0.9-1.2m) on all sides except the WSW. A field bank runs through the base of the moats at SSE and WSW, and a pond has widened the fosse at ENE (Wth 9m). There is no visible entrance.   Description

  On a level, low-lying landscape. Subcircular grass-covered area (dims 34.8m N-S; 29.3m E-W) defined by an earthen bank with some scrub (Wth 3m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 1-1.3m) which is reduced to a scarp (H 0.9m) NW-E, and an outer fosse (Wth of base 2m; D 0.2m) SSE-W-NE, the line of which is followed by a band of lush vegetation elsewhere.   Description

  On a slight rise at the W end of a low E-W ridge with higher ground to the W. Circular grass-covered platform (diam. 26m E-W; 25.7m N-S) defined by a scarp (H 0.3m at S to 1.6m at N) separated by a berm (Wth 3.2m at N to 6.3m at S) from a scarp (H 0.6-0.8m), which is incorporated into a field bank (Wth 2.4m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 1m) with an outer fosse (Wth of top 4.4m; D 0.1m) S-WSW. There is no visible entrance (max. ext. diam. 50m N-S; 49.3m E-W). Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
