  Description

  On a low knoll on a S-facing slope. Subcircular grass-covered area (dims 31.1m N-S; 27.4m E-W) defined by a grass-covered stone spread (Wth 2.2-6.7m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 0.3-0.6m) SW-N-SE and a scarp with facing-stones (Wth 0.5m; H 0.2m) SE-SW. There is no visible entrance, but there is a grass-covered mound (RO008-006003-) (diam. 5m; H 0.3-0.8m) E of the centre. • RO008-006002 Souterrain
  Description

  Under the perimeter wall of cashel (RO008-006001-) at WNW. A passage (Wth 1.85m; H 1.4m) with a corbelled and lintelled roof aligned E-W (L 6m) is entered from W through a short creep (L 1m). There are two air-vents on the S wall of the creep and an alcove (Wth 0.6m; H 1.4m; D 0.5m) is at the W end of the N wall of the chamber. The straight E wall has an entrance (Wth 0.82m; H 0.65m) with a projecting pintle stone, but the entrance passage is blocked. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010

• RO008-063 Souterrain
  Description

  On top of a hillock, at the E edge of a coniferous forest. An entrance, close to the original entrance gives access to a passage (dims 3.65m NNW-SSE; 1.3m ENE-WSW; max. H 1.15m) with a creep (Wth 0.8m; H 0.8m; L 0.9m) at its S end to a second passage (dims 9.2m NNW-SSE; 2.2m ENE-WSW; max. H 1.6m) which is blocked by collapse towards its S end. A blocked creep (Wth 0.7m; H 1m; L 0.9m plus) towards the centre of the W wall may have led to a third, completely blocked passage to the W. See the attached view looking N in the long passage.
