  On a NW-facing slope. Subcircular grass and scrub-covered area (dims 41.2m NNW-SSE; 35.1m ENE-WSW) defined by an earthen bank and hedge (Wth 7-8m; int. H 0.2-0.3m; ext. H 1.75-2m), with slight traces of an outer fosse (at NNW: Wth of top 5.8m; Wth of base 1.7m; D 0.2m) NNW-NNE. There is no recognisable original entrance.   Description

  On a rise at the W edge of a broad low plateau. Irregularly-shaped, domed, grass-covered area (dims 58m E-W; 51m N-S) defined by a steep-sided earthen bank (Wth 4.9-5.1m; int. H 0.9-1m; ext. H 1.9-2.4m), with an outer fosse WSW-WNW (Wth of top 6.7m; Wth of base 1.8m; D 0.3m) and NNW-NE. There is a modernised entrance at ENE and lazy-beds in the interior, while the perimeter is quarried at SE. Rath (RO048-193----) is c. 220m to the SE.   Description

  On a slight N-S ridge in an undulating landscape. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 28.4m WSW-ENE; 25.7m NNW-SSE) defined by a flat-topped earthen bank (at WSW: Wth 4.5-5m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 1.5m) and slight traces of a fosse SSE-W-N. The perimeter is reduced to a scarp (H 1-1.25m) N-SSE and there is a small quarry on the perimeter at SE. Gannon (1972) recorded a possible enclosure (RO048-065002-) just to the NW which is not visible now. Rath (RO048-186----) is c. 50m to the W.   Description

  On a rise in an undulating karst landscape. Circular grass-covered area (int. diam. 30m NE-SW; 28.4m NW-SE) defined by a grass and moss-covered stone spread (Wth 5.7-6.2m; int. H 0.5-0.6m; ext. H 0.8-1m). The entrance (Wth 2m) is at SE, and there are some clearance cairns in the interior.   Description

  On a rise in an undulating landscape. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 26.1m ENE-WSW; 24.1m NNW-SSE) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 5-6m; int. H 0.35-0.5m; ext. H 1.5-1.65m) with traces of inner facing-stones NNE-NE, which is separated by a fosse (Wth of top 6m; ext. D 0.55m) from and an outer bank (Wth 3m; ext. H 0.7m) both of which only survive SSE-WNW. There is an entrance at ENE and the platform is damaged by a quarry at NW. Rath (RO048-193----) is c. 170m to the NW.   On a rise in an undulating landscape which was originally karst. Circular overgrown area (diam. 32.3m NNW-SSE; 31.1m ENE-WSW) defined by an overgrown stone spread best preserved N-SE (at ENE: Wth 3.4m; int. H 0.4m; ext. • RO048-097008 Field system
  Description

  In an undulating landscape. An area of about 110 acres (c. 45 ha) contains relict field walls of collapsed drystone construction, now partly grass-covered (Wth c. 2-3m; c. H 0.5m) in rough pasture. The fields can be small (dims c. 20m x c. 30m), particularly at its NW end and close to the E-W Athlone to Dysart road. Larger fields (dims c. 100m x up to 500m) exist further from the road. No house sites or lazy-beds were noted. The entire field system was recorded and test-excavated (04E0626), and it is postulated that the fields are 17th century or later in date (Mount 2007) as much of the area is described as woodland on the Strafford map of c. 1636 (Simington 1949, Athlone (172, 174)).   Description

  At the crest of a W-facing slope of a small N-S ridge. Oval grass-covered platform (dims 25m WNW-ESE; 19.5m NNE-SSW) defined by a small ravine at SW and by a low scarp (Wth 2.5-4.5m; H 0.85-0.95m) elsewhere. There is no visible fosse or identifiable original entrance. It is overlain by a NNW-SSE relict field bank towards the perimeter at E. (Rath (RO048-065001-) is c. 50m to the E.   On a rise in an undulating landscape. D-shaped grass-covered area (dims 26.3m N-S; 18m E-W) defined by a slight bank (Wth 3-4m; int. H 0.05m; ext. H 0.2-0.4m) SE-W-NE and backing onto a steep slope at E (L 23m). There is no visible fosse or identifiable original entrance.
