Description
Marked only on the 1914 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on top of a rise, c. 100m from the S shore of a bay at the S angle of Oakport Lough. Described as an oval area defined by the remains of an earthen bank and traces of a fosse (Gannon 1972). It is now visible as a circular grass-covered area (diam. 23-24m) defined by a slight scarp (H 0.1-0.5m). Earthwork (RO007-064----) is c. 220m to the ESE. Description
Towards the bottom of a N-facing slope. Circular overgrown area (diam. 26m E-W; 25m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 4-5m; int. H 0.4m generally to 1.1m at S; ext. H 0.2m at S to 0.9m at E) E-SW which is reduced to a scarp (H 0.8-1m) elsewhere. There is no visible fosse or entrance. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010

Marked as a circular embanked enclosure (diam. c. 35m) only on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on an E-facing slope on the W bank of the N-S Boyle River with much of the perimeter on the river's edge.
