Description
On the S bank of a W-E section of the River Suck. Raised subcircular grass-covered area (dims 37m E-W; 31.3m N-S) defined by the lip of a bank (int. H 0.1-0.35m) W-N-SE and an outer scarp (H 1-1.3m E-S to 1.7-1.9m W-N). There is no visible fosse or identifiable original entrance. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010

Description
On a gentle NE-facing slope, c. 170m from a NW-SE section of the River Suck. Raised circular grass and scrub-covered area (diam. 45.9m N-S; c. 42m E-W) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (Wth 8.3-10.3m; int. H 0.1m at N to 0.95m at S; ext. H 0.9m at E to 1.9m generally) which has been quarried E-SE, separated by a rounded fosse (Wth of top 8.5-12m; Wth of base 2.2-3.2m; D 0.6-1.4m) from an outer bank (Wth 2-3.5m; ext. H 0.1-0.8m). The entrance was not identified, but the outer bank has been removed NNE-ENE (max. ext. diam. 69m E-W). Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010

Description
Crossing a W-E section of the River Suck which here has an island in the middle. It is not marked on the Strafford map of c. 1636 (Simington 1949, Athlone) or on Petty's map of Athlone North barony (1683). The bridge has three arches on either side of the island. All the arches are rounded, but unequal, with dressed voussoirs (Wth 4.8m; H 3.4m at N) of one period. The carriageway (Wth 5.35m) has a masonry parapet but no refuge, and it was built in one stage. Description
Marked as an oval wood (dims c. 120m NW-SE; c. 90m NE-SW) on the 1837 and 1928 eds of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on a rise in the floodplain of a NW-SE section of the River Suck which is c. 200m to the NE. Fragments of the perimeter survive as arcs of drystone wall (Wth 0.75m; H 1m) at NW (C 55mand) SE (C c. 95m) where it is incorporated into field boundaries.
