  Description

  Marked as a small mound or enclosure (diam. c. 5m) only on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map where it is described in gothic lettering as 'Monument'.   Description

  Marked as an oval embanked enclosure (ext. dims c. 50m N-S; c. 35m E-W) on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on a gentle SE-facing slope. This is an irregularly-shaped, grass-covered platform (dims 31.5m N-S; 31.5m E-W) defined by a scarp (H 0.7m) which has been cut back on all sides by quarrying and with a pond at S.   Description

  On a slight E-facing slope towards the E end of a low WNW-ESE ridge. Subcircular grass-covered area (dims 32m N-S; 26.4m E-W) defined by a scarp (H 0.4-0.5m) N-E-S with slight traces of a fosse (Wth of base 2-2.6m) N-E-S. It is bisected by a N-S field wall and hedge, and the perimeter has been excavated into large ponds S-W-N. There is no identifiable original entrance.
