  In pasture, on top of a rock outcrop on a S-facing slope. A circular area (int. diam. 21m) enclosed by a grass-covered bank (Wth 2m; int. H 0.6m; ext. H 1m).   In the N half of a rath (SL033-074001-). The souterrain is evident as a linear depression (5m N-S; Wth 2m; D 0.8m) with drystone-built walls. • SL033-075001 Field system
  Description

  In gently undulating pasture. A fragmented pattern of field boundaries, covering an area c. 300m x c. 400m, is visible in an aerial photograph (CUCAP, AJR 22) as low linear field boundaries underlying the modern field system. This relict field system is on a NE-SW axis while the overlying system is generally on a N-S axis. Traces of low earthen banks (Wth 2m; H 0.5m), with corresponding fosses (D 0.3m), are visible on the ground. A rectangular enclosure (SL033-075002-) lies within this field system. A large circular enclosure (SL033-077001-) and three raths (SL033-076----; SL033-077002-; SL033-078----) lie immediately to the W and N. Another relict linear field boundary (Wth 2.6m; H c. 0.4m; L c. 300m) on a NNW-SSE axis, with a fosse (D 0.2m) on its E side, cuts through the circular enclosure (SL033-077001-) and two of the raths (SL033-076----; SL033-077002-). • SL033-075002 Enclosure
  Description

  In level pasture and within field system (SL033-075001-). Described in 1992 (SMR (1989) file) as a large rectangular enclosure (int. L 37m at E end) situated in the SW corner of a much larger field. The enclosure was defined by a bank (Wth 1m) and an external fosse (Wth 1.4m). The entrance (Wth 2.6m) was in the E side and consisted of a passage (L 11m) flanked by banks (Wth 1m) on either side leading from the enclosing bank into the interior. During a subsequent site inspection, the rectangular enclosure could not be identified at ground level. It is partially visible, underlying the extant field system, in an aerial photograph (CUCAP, AJR 22) taken in 1964. A large circular enclosure (SL033-077001-) lies c. 15m to SW. • SL033-076 Ringfort - rath
  Description

  In undulating pasture, on a slight ENE-facing slope. A circular raised area (22m N-S; 23m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (int. H 0.55m; ext. H 1.35m) E-NNE and by a scarp (ext. H 0.6m) elsewhere. The external fosse (D 0.65m) is evident NW-NNW. The interior is level and clear of overgrowth. A relict field boundary (see SL033-075001-) with a fosse on its E side crosses the interior on a NNW-SSE axis, breaking through the bank at NNW and SSE (Wth of breaks 5.5m and 6m respectively) and continuing beyond the edges of the rath where it crosses the circular enclosure (SL033-07701-) 14m to SSE. Another rath (SL033-078----) lies c. 250m to SE and a field system (SL033-075001-) immediately to E and SE. • SL033-077001 Enclosure - large enclosure
  Description

  In gently undulating pasture. A roughly circular area (98m N-S; 99m E-W) defined by two earthen banks and an intervening fosse. The inner bank (int. H 0.5m; ext. H 1m) is evident W-NNW while elsewhere the interior is defined by a scarp. There is a possible entrance (Wth 16m) at WNW with breaches in both banks and slight infilling of the fosse. The fosse is evident all round and has a broad U-shaped profile (Wth 4.5m at base). The outer bank (int. H 0.75m; ext. H 0.3m) is evident SE-NE with a further short stretch at ESE. It is broken by gaps at NW (Wth 12m) and NNW (Wth 6m) and has been incorporated into a field boundary NE-ESE. The interior undulates gently and slopes gently from the centre toward the enclosing elements. A relict field boundary (see SL033-075001-) with a fosse on its E side crosses the interior on a NNW-SSE axis. There is a rath (SL033-077001-) and souterrain (SL033-077003-) in the SE quadrant, abutting the inner edge of the fosse at SSE. Another rath (SL033-076----) is 14m to NNW and a third (SL033-078----) c. 100m to SE. A field system (SL033-075001-) lies immediately to E. • SL033-077002 Ringfort - rath
  Description

  In the SE quadrant of a circular enclosure (SL033-077001-). A slightly raised roughly circular area (30m N-S; 27m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (int. H 0.6m; ext. H 0.8m) SW-N and by a low scarp N-SE. Elsewhere the interior is slightly truncated by the inner edge of the fosse of an ecclesiastical enclosure (SL033-077001-). The bank is mostly gently curved but becomes straight from NW-N and this appears to be its original form rather than a later modification. The interior slopes slightly down to SE. The remains of a possible souterrain (SL033-077003-) exists in the SW quadrant close to the terminal of the bank at SW. A field boundary (see SL033-075001-) with a fosse on its E side cross the interior on a NNW-SSE axis, off-centre to E. There is a field system (SL033-075001-) in the adjoining field to E and another rath (SL033-078---) lies c. 100m to SE.   Description

  In the SW quadrant of a rath (SL033-077002-) and within a circular enclosure (SL033-077001-). The souterrain is evident as a dugout trench (11m E-W) with a U-shaped flat-bottomed profile (D 0.9m; Wth 2.3m at base). The base of the trench slopes gently down from the level of the rath interior at E and levels out halfway along its length.
