  Description

  Situated on the gentle E-facing slope of a low rise in poorly-drained, level pasture. Raised circular area (diam. 28.7m) enclosed by an earthen bank (Wth 4.8-5.5m; int. H 0.4-0.85m; ext. H 0.9-1.6m). A break (Wth 2m) in the bank at E represents the original entrance. Against the inner face of the bank at NE is a hollow (4m NE-SW; 2m NW-SE; D 0.3m). Compiled by: Patrick F. • SL017-005001 Enclosure
  Description

  Situated on a low rise in lowlying, level pasture. Depicted as a circular enclosure on the 1837 edition of the OS 6-inch map. Raised oblong platform (32m E-W; 15m N-S; H 0.8-1m) enclosed by a shallow fosse (Wth 4m; max. ext. D 0.6m at W) with ephemeral remains of a possible outer bank at WSW–NW. At the outer lip of the fosse from SE-S-W is a modern field boundary which respects the curve of the enclosure. To E of centre, a N–S bank (Wth 3m; H 0.4m) divides the platform into unequal portions. The larger W portion of the platform is defined around its edge S–NNW by remnants of a bank. In the SE corner of the larger W portion of the platform there is a possible hut site (SL017-005002-) Much of the space in the smaller E portion of the platform is occupied by a circular sub-enclosure or possible house (SL017-005003-).   Description

  In an enclosure (SL017-005001-). The interior of the enclosure is divided into unequal portions by a low N–S bank. Abutting the dividing N–S bank in the SE corner of the larger western portion of the enclosure, is a semi-circular feature (diam. 8.5m E–W). It is defined E–S by the enclosure bank, and on SW–W by a low bank (Wth 2m; int. H 0.55m; ext. H 0.35m). It may be the remnants of a roughly circular hut site. Compiled by: Patrick F.   Description

  In an enclosure (SL017-005001-). The interior of the enclosure is divided into unequal portions by a low N–S bank. Most of the space in the smaller E end of the enclosure is occupied by a circular sub-enclosure or possible house (12.4m N-S; 12m E-W) defined by a low bank (Wth 3m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 1.3m).   Description

  Situated on a low rise in lowlying, level pasture. Raised circular area (diam. 24.4m) enclosed by a low bank (Wth 4-4.3m; int. H 0.2-0.6m; ext. H 1.5-2m) of earth and stone, with an external fosse (Wth 3m; ext. D 0.4m) which has a modern field boundary at its outer edge from WSW-N-NNE. The fosse is clearly defined only ont he N half of the rath. Stone-lined break (Wth 1.8m) in bank at E represents original entrance.   Situated on a low rise in undulating pasture. Raised circular area (diam. 29.5m N-S) defined by a scarp (H 1m at N; 3m at S). The NE quadrant and a smaller portion at E have been quarried away.
