  Description

  Situated in flat pasture in an upland area with a ringfort (TN020-091) to the SW. It was impossible to examine or gain access to the site at the time of visit due to the dense cover of vegetation. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002). • TN020-091 Ringfort - rath
  Description

  Situated on flat pasture in an upland area with a ringfort (TN020-089) to the NE. A raised circular area (diam. 33m NE-SW) enclosed by an earth and stone bank (Wth 2m) which has been mainly reduced to a scarp (H 1.5m) with slight traces of a shallow external fosse. Possible entrance gap (Wth 3.5m) at SE. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary.
