  Description

  Situated on a slight natural rise surrounded by gently undulating grassland, with good views from NW-E-S. The corner of the townland boundary with Paristown is 120m to SW. A sub-circular shaped area (approx. diam 29m N-S; 38m E-W) enclosed by a poorly preserved earthen bank. The interior rises slightly towards the centre, and contains several low banks and hollows, and also traces of cultivation ridges. See attached profile of monument surveyed and drawn by the ASI. • WM009-030 Ringfort - rath
  Description

  Situated on a slight natural rise surrounded by gently undulating grassland, restricted views from S-W-N. Cloran Loughs 140m to NW. A sub-circular shaped area (approx. diam 52m N-S: 50m E-W) enclosed by a poorly preserved earthen bank and slight external fosse. The interior of the monument has traces of cultivation ridges. The E side of the site has been intersected by a post 1837 field fence and drain. This site appears to have been levelled, as is visible as a crop mark on Digital Globe aerial photograph taken November 2011. See attached plan of monument surveyed and drawn by the ASI.   Description

  Situated on the SSW face of a slight natural rise, surrounded by undulating grassland. Ringfort (WM009-030----) 450m to NW. A slightly raised oval shaped area (approx. diam. 28m NE-SW; 18.5m NW-SE) enclosed by a poorly preserved earthen bank with entrance gap (Wth 5m) at SE. The interior slopes from NE-SW.
